Was dead wrong about those LED light therapy masks
I used to think those LED masks were just another overpriced gimmick for estheticians to push on clients. Kept telling people to save their money. Then about 6 months ago I tried a cheap one on a stubborn breakout after a bad shift on the road, and the inflammation was way down after 3 days. Now I use it on clients for post-extraction redness and it actually calms things down faster than anything else I had. Anyone else end up caving on a tool they swore they'd never touch?

And here I was thinking the red light was just making me look less like a zombie after a long week, not realizing I was basically marinating my face in bacteria juice. Guess I'll add "wash face" to my pre-mask routine instead of just relying on good vibes and hope.

Honestly, you're kind of missing one important detail about these masks. The red light is great for inflammation but the blue light is what actually kills the bacteria that causes breakouts. Most cheap masks don't separate the wavelengths properly so you're not getting the full benefit. Also, you really have to keep your face clean before using it or the light can't penetrate through all the makeup and oil. Just a heads up so you get better results than I did when I first started.

Yeah totally, I had the same problem with my first mask. Learned the hard way that washing your face first makes a huge difference and now I actually see results instead of just looking like a weirdo sitting in the dark.
