Walked into a vintage shop in my hometown and felt like I time traveled
Saw a whole shelf of those old Millennial reaction image memes printed on actual physical posters and it hit me that kids today probably just scroll past them without a second thought. Has anyone else found themselves explaining a classic meme like Bad Luck Brian to a younger relative and feeling ancient?

Holy crap, Bad Luck Brian on a physical poster? That's wild. I swear those memes feel like they were born and died on the internet, seeing them in the wild like a museum exhibit is tripping me out. My nephew asked me why a guy in a sweater vest was "famous" and I had to explain the whole era of image macros. Felt like I was telling him about rotary phones or something.

Yeah it’s wild how fast the internet just buries whole eras like that.

Made me think of when I had to explain what a "Rickroll" was to my younger cousin. I pulled up the old music video on YouTube and he just stared at me blankly. Took me back to when people would drop that link everywhere just to mess with each other. Your mileage may vary, but I found showing him the original Bad Luck Brian image in its natural habitat online helped bridge the gap a little. He still didn't get why it was funny, but at least he saw the source material.
