Finally got around to testing a cold air intake versus just a high-flow filter in my '18 5.0, the difference in throttle response is way bigger than I expected.

Honestly thought those intakes were mostly for noise until a buddy let me drive his truck after the install. The pedal just felt way more alive, like it wasn't fighting to breathe anymore. My old 4.6 probably wouldn't have cared, but on a newer motor it actually makes sense. Might have to stop calling them fancy tube kits.

Still seems like a lot of money for a noise tube. Bet half that feeling is just in your head.

That 4.6 you mentioned actually benefits a ton from better airflow. The factory intake on those is super choked down.
