I thought those 'day in the life' video loops were just noise

I made one last month of my morning routine in Chicago, just a simple 15 second clip on repeat. I figured it would get lost. It got pushed to over 50,000 people in a week because the platform's algorithm loves that format right now. I learned these short, repeatable formats aren't just luck, they're built into how the apps work now. Has anyone else seen a simple format stick around way longer than you thought it would?

Wait, that's not just the algorithm. Those loops are super easy for people to watch while they scroll, so they get shared more. The format itself is just sticky right now.

Yeah but what's actually making them "sticky" though? Is it just the brain being lazy or did the platforms figure out the exact length to keep you hooked without realizing you're stuck?

Super easy for people to watch" is the whole game. The apps want you brain-dead and scrolling, not actually thinking. So of course the dumb loop wins.
