Question about those micro-learning video courses on TikTok
I keep seeing these 60 second tutorials on TikTok that teach you random skills. Last month I actually learned how to change my car's oil from a 2 minute video. But I wonder if this is just a fad because you miss a lot of details. Has anyone else tried learning something this way and actually had it stick around in your brain?

Oh man I totally get where you're coming from. I watch those clips all the time and they actually help for simple stuff. Like I fixed a leaky faucet after seeing a 78 second video and it held up for months. But yeah for big projects you definitely miss steps. They skip over the boring parts that actually matter. I think it's more like a cheat sheet to get you started, not a full course. You just gotta use them for small tasks and be ready to look up more details later.

Ever swap a bike chain after watching a 60-second clip and it actually worked perfectly?
