Can we talk about how everyone uses the wrong fabric for summer dresses?
Honestly, I keep seeing people pick heavy cotton or cheap polyester for summer designs, and it drives me nuts. I made a linen shift dress for a friend's outdoor wedding in Savannah last July, and she said it was the only thing that didn't stick to her. Tbh, breathable natural fibers make a huge difference in comfort and drape. Has anyone else tried working with linen or hemp for warm weather pieces?

Yeah, that personal sauna feeling is the worst. I switched to a linen blend skirt for a picnic last month and it was a total game changer, didn't cling at all even when it got humid.

Ever feel like a sweaty mess in a cute dress? (I definitely have, and it's not a good look.)

Remember those cute sundresses with the synthetic lining? They turn into a personal sauna. A friend wore one to a summer wedding and had to sneak into the bathroom to blot herself with paper towels. The fabric just doesn't breathe, trapping all that heat. It's a design flaw that ruins an otherwise perfect outfit.
