I finally saw a real use for those weirdly shaped bags everyone's carrying

I was in Chicago for a week visiting my sister, and I swear I counted 17 people in one afternoon with those bags that aren't square (they're kind of lumpy and round). At first I thought it was just a weird trend, but then I saw a woman struggling to fit a big, oddly shaped art portfolio into a normal tote. Her friend had one of the lumpy bags and it slid right in, no problem. It made me think the design isn't just for looks, it's actually solving a problem for people who carry stuff that isn't box-shaped, like artists or people with specific hobbies. Has anyone else designed something around a specific, awkward item people need to carry?

Designed a whole backpack around my weirdly shaped, always-leaking lunch container.

Wait, a backpack built for a leaky lunch box? That's next level problem solving. What did you even use for lining?
