Appreciation post: watched a crew in Tampa switch from a manual floor roller to a 75-pound power roller on a big LVP job. The difference in seam lock-up after 24 hours was huge.

Honestly, I've seen the opposite happen. A heavy power roller can actually over-compress some planks, especially the cheaper ones with a thin wear layer. It squeezes out too much glue and leaves a dry spot, which causes a hollow sound or even a failure down the road. A manual roller lets you feel the pressure and go slower, making sure the glue spreads right. For a lot of the vinyl plank I work with, the extra weight just isn't needed and can cause more problems than it solves.

Sounds a bit overblown lol. Most people aren't gonna crush their floor with a roller.
