Skipped the mold bake and learned the hard way

Honestly, I was trying to finish a job fast and didn't let the mold bake long enough. Tbh, I figured the leftover heat would handle it. When I poured the bronze, the mold cracked and metal leaked everywhere. Ngl, I had to scrap the whole piece and start over. I realized that rushing never pays off in this work. Now, I set a timer and never cut corners on drying time. It's a simple thing that avoids big messes.

Learned that lesson on my garage floor last year.

Garage floors can be such a pain. I had a similar issue with an oil stain last winter. Soap and water just spread it around more. In my experience, a baking soda and vinegar paste works best. Leave it on for at least an hour before you scrub. That combo broke down the grease without damaging the concrete.

Yikes, reading that takes me back. My friend Jake tried to speed up a ceramic mold once by using a heat gun instead of letting it dry slow. He was so sure it would work, but when he poured the aluminum, the whole thing EXPLODED like a popcorn kernel. Metal went everywhere, and he had to spend hours cleaning up the shop. He said from then on, he never messes with drying times, no matter how rushed he feels. That kind of mistake really teaches you PATIENCE, you know?
