Warning: I stopped chasing every 'high paying' client lead after a $5k project fell apart
The client was a nightmare from day one, but I ignored the red flags because the money was good. Has anyone else walked away from a big contract to save their sanity?

Tough client" is one thing, but ignoring red flags for money is a different problem.

Sometimes you have to take the work to pay the bills, red flags and all.

Was it really that bad or did you just not set clear rules from the start? A tough client is just part of the job sometimes. Maybe the problem was how you handled it.
