Moving my desk to face the window fixed my focus issues

I used to think any spot in my home office worked fine for freelancing. Now I see natural light helps me stay on task and avoid distractions.

Honestly, when @viola763 said her friend was 'bunched up and grouchy,' that sounds more like a posture issue from hunching in a dark corner. Natural light helps, but sitting right matters too.

My friend used to work in a dark corner of his basement and was always feeling tired. He finally listened to his wife and moved his desk right under an east-facing window. Said the morning light completely changed his mood, and he wasn't so bunched up and grouchy by lunch. It was crazy how such a simple flip made him a totally different person at work.

Totally get this. Switched from a dark interior office to a seat by a south-facing window last year. My energy is way better, and I actually look forward to that sunny patch in the afternoon instead of needing a coffee break just to wake up.
