Paid $200 for a 'client magnet' course that was just recycled blog posts

Saw an ad for a freelance writing course promising high-paying leads. Bought it last spring. The whole thing was just a PDF of articles I could have found for free. The 'exclusive' Facebook group was dead, maybe two posts a month. Felt like a total scam. Anyone know a legit place to find good client leads?

But what did you really expect for two hundred bucks? That's a pretty low price for a full business course, so maybe the content was just basic on purpose. Sometimes you're just paying for the convenience of having it all in one place, even if the info is free somewhere else.

Ugh that's so frustrating, did they at least give a refund when you called them out? Those recycled info products are everywhere now. Honestly the best leads I ever got were just from talking to people in online communities for niches I actually knew about. The paid groups and courses are usually just selling the dream of easy money.

Yeah but come on, is it really that big of a deal? So some guy repackaged an old ebook, it happens every day. I get what you're saying @mia_davis25 about real talks in forums being better, but sometimes you just buy a thing and it sucks, you move on. Why waste energy calling them out for a few bucks back?
