Rant: I just hit 1,000 hours on my spray booth filter timer

Honestly, I never thought I'd see that number. It's on a big commercial job for a hotel chain, refinishing 200+ guest room desks and nightstands. The timer started when we moved into this warehouse space last fall. Ngl, seeing that four-digit number flash up made me stop and think about all the lacquer and conversion varnish that's gone through that system. It's a weird milestone that just screams 'wear and tear' and 'maintenance bill'. Has anyone else had a piece of equipment hit a number that made you wince a little?

Had a filter on my old truck that looked like it fought in a war. Just swapped it out for a fresh one and the difference was night and day. Engine stopped groaning and actually had some power again. Sometimes you just forget how bad it's gotten until you fix it. Cheap part, but the change felt huge.

Agree with you there, man. I had a dust collector bag on my old setup that I let go way too long. It got so caked up the motor was huffing like it was running a marathon. Finally swapped it out and the thing practically hummed again. It's wild how a cheap fix can make you feel like you just saved a piece of gear from the junk pile.
