Bought a 'smart' tire gauge last month and it's already bricked

Paid $45 for this thing at the auto parts store, it connected to my phone and logged pressure history for my truck. Last week the app just stopped seeing it, and now the screen is dead, just a fancy paperweight. Anyone know a brand that actually lasts more than a few months?

Honestly I've had the opposite experience. My digital gauge has been solid for over two years now. The key is to not cheap out on the battery. I use a name brand lithium one, not the generic stuff it came with. That app disconnect thing happened once, but a phone restart fixed it. Sometimes it's just a software hiccup, not the hardware dying.
