Had to choose between a $3000 glory hole upgrade or a new annealer for my shop in Tacoma. Went with the glory hole and now I'm second guessing it.

Check out @riveradams' toaster oven idea for a cheap fix, and honestly a better glory hole means you can make More stuff to sell and save up faster.

Glory holes are for shaping glass, right? That's a core part of the process. An annealer just cools things down slowly so they don't crack. Seems like you picked the tool you actually use to make stuff over the one that just finishes it. Maybe it's not such a wild choice after all. You can always find a workaround for annealing until you save up again.
