Vent: I thought the 'dust-free' cutting cape was just a marketing scam
My boss in Charlotte made us all switch to these expensive capes that claim to repel hair clippings, and I was ready to call it a gimmick after the first client. After using it on about 30 cuts, I realized my black pants actually stayed clean all day, which never happened before. Has anyone else found a tool they doubted that actually made a real difference in their daily grind?

Those capes are a total game changer for dark clothes.

Wait, I gotta disagree with @the_hannah on this one. Those capes are a nightmare for dark clothes. They're basically lint magnets, and the fabric always seems to bleed dye. I had a black wool coat ruined because the cape's lining transferred color all over the shoulders. Plus, they trap every bit of pet hair and dust, so you're constantly brushing yourself off. They look cool, but they're not practical at all.

Has anyone checked if they mess with motion sensors? I mean, all that extra fabric moving around might set off some security systems. Could be a real headache for stores or offices with automatic lights.
