I made my tiny apartment feel bigger after hearing a podcast on small home tips. Really happy with how it turned out.

The Minimalists podcast has great episodes on vertical storage too.

@king.brian, vertical storage causes more issues than it solves. Stuff piled up high just falls over, like when my stack of plates crashed last week. Reaching for things on top shelves is awkward and risky. That podcast glosses over how often you have to re-stack everything after one item is removed. Keeping things at eye level on regular shelves saves time and prevents accidents.

Totally feel you on the awkward and risky thing. My friend Nate tried that vertical stacking with canned goods in his pantry, had like three rows deep going upwards. One can of beans came out wrong and it was like a food avalanche, lmao. He spent twenty minutes just picking up dented cans and wiping tomato sauce off the floor. Seems cool in theory until you actually have to live with it.
