Tidying up my workshop linked to our casting process

Remember reading a study that backs you up, @oliver184 - clutter can actually help creative thinking.

Suddenly, all my feeds are full of home organization podcast recs.

Respect that approach, ivanshah, but some of us need those systems to avoid just staring at the mess for an hour.

Unpopular opinion: Fabric store lighting makes color matching impossible

Can we start a class action lawsuit against fabric stores for emotional damage? I swear those lights are a deliberate trap, like they get a kickback from people who have to buy extra fabric after a "green, no wait, teal" disaster. My closet is a monument to colors that only exist under their lying bulbs.

My quest to fold fitted sheets flawlessly revealed a trivial pursuit

Tried the whole fold-and-tuck method for years because I thought that's what competent adults did. Eventually realized my linen closet looked peaceful for about five minutes until someone rummaged for a towel. Now I just fold the elastic corners into each other, make a rough rectangle, and stuff the whole set into one of the pillowcases. It keeps everything together, prevents the dreaded unspooling, and looks neat enough for company who might peek in there. The system brings me far more joy than any geometric precision ever did. Perfect is the enemy of getting the laundry put away before the next load needs the basket.

The time my digital portrait got mistaken for a missing person poster

Haha, @jade_baker90, that is ABSOLUTELY hilarious! I once drew a hyper-realistic slice of pizza for a digital art class, and my roommate thought I had ordered delivery without him. He was genuinely upset until I showed him the layers panel. The level of detail was so intense that he argued about the pepperoni placement being 'inauthentic' for our local joint. My artistic pride was through the ROOF, but then I realized he thought it was a photo, not my painstaking work. Now I deliberately add surreal elements to avoid confusion, which kinda ruins the realism but saves my friendships.
