I decided to reply to a rude comment on a local news post about a new park, and the person who wrote it actually apologized after I asked them to explain their point.

I saw a comment saying 'this park is a waste of taxpayer money for the lazy' on Facebook, so I replied with 'Can you explain how a free public space for kids to play is only for lazy people?' and after a few back-and-forths, they said 'okay, maybe I was just in a bad mood, sorry.' Has a simple question ever changed the tone of a comment thread for you?

On my routes, I drop off supplies at a few salons and always end up chatting with the staff. They say a big thing right now is people asking for haircuts and colors that don't need constant touch-ups. Like, layered cuts that still look fine after a couple months, or highlights that blend as they grow out. One colorist showed me how she does a softer root shadow so grow-out isn't so harsh. It feels like folks just want to save time and money on upkeep. Makes me think the fancy, high-maintenance styles might be fading out for a bit.

Unpopular opinion: My trust in single pane glass for old windows is fading fast.
