Our paralegal signed an NDA on a napkin and now we're stuck in discovery hell
So last Friday I find out our junior paralegal at our Boston office accepted a client confidentiality agreement scribbled on a bar napkin. The client's a former FBI agent who claimed his NDAs had to be 'off the grid.' Took me 3 hours to explain to the judge that yes, we are bound by a napkin. Has anyone else had a client insist on some weirdo NDA format that actually backfired?

NGL I used to think napkin NDAs were a meme but yeah this completely changed my mind.

Same here, I figured it was just internet legend until I saw how binding that little scribble on a napkin actually turned out to be in a legal sense. Definitely changed my mind on the whole thing.
