Austin, TX? That's the "Keep It Weird" place. Pretty sure your warranty doesn't cover "weird" latch failures though.

Mine went out at 8:43 on a Wednesday. Had a whole bag of frozen fries ready to go. The latch just snapped clean off when I closed it. No warning, no weird noise beforehand. Just dead.

My air fryer basket latch gave out at exactly 8:47 PM on a Tuesday last month, right when I had a full batch of wings going. It's like everything in life now has this 18-month expiration date... even the stuff that feels sturdy. @owens.cameron, you joke about the weird warranty, but it's true - things break at the worst possible moment, like how my phone charger gave out during a storm last week. It's just a pattern, you know? The latch was fine one minute, then it was a flimsy piece of plastic the next.
