Still think the OEM board is always better? My last Whirlpool call changed my mind
Had a whirlpool duet dryer that kept throwing a F30 code last tuesday. Usually I swap in the genuine control board, costs like $180 from the supplier in phoenix. But I tried a $45 refurbished board from a place in tucson and its been running smooth for 6 days now. How many of you actually trust the cheap replacements long term?

My buddy mark had the same problem with his samsung dryer last year. He went with a $40 board off ebay from some guy in texas. It worked great for about three months then started throwing random codes again. Turns out the relays on those cheap boards just aren't rated for the same load as the OEM ones. He ended up having to buy the real part anyway and paid double for shipping.

Read something similar on a repair forum a few weeks back.

Man that's rough, sounds like the Texas special was too special by half.
