Had to pick between a gas mower and an electric one for my business

I run a small landscaping crew in Phoenix and had to choose between a $900 Honda gas mower and a $1200 electric model from Toro. I went with the electric because of fuel costs and noise complaints from clients, but after 6 months the battery life is struggling in the heat. Anyone else made the switch and ended up regretting it or loving it?

Doesn't the heat just kill batteries out here in Phoenix though?

Yeah, "just kills batteries" is a bit of an oversimplification. The heat does wear them down faster for sure, but it's more like it makes them work harder and age quicker. You'll get like 2-3 years max out of a battery here, while in a cooler place it might last 4 or 5.

@daniel_walker have you tried running just one mower per day to stretch battery life?
