That moment you realize a customer has been driving on a flat for a week because they 'liked the feel'

Ignoring a flat tire because it 'feels better' is how you end up buying new rims, from what I've seen.

How could anyone think a flat tire feels better than a properly inflated one? Driving on it for a whole week is just asking for trouble. That's not just a rim, you're risking a blowout at any speed. The repair bill for the tire, wheel, and maybe the suspension must have been a real shock.

Know that driving on a flat can wreck more than just the rim (it might hurt the suspension too). Heard about repairs costing way more after that kind of neglect.

Actually, driving on a flat for a short bit isn't always a disaster. I've done it to slowly get off a highway shoulder and the rim was fine. Modern suspensions are pretty tough for that kind of short, careful drive. The real damage comes from going fast or far, not just moving the car a little.
