That $60 water filter I bought on impulse saved me from giardia on the PCT
Had to drink from a murky stream near Crater Lake after my friend dropped our only bottle and the cheap filter actually worked, has anyone else had a cheap piece of gear surprise them on trail?

Yeah the cheap stuff sometimes just works better than the expensive hype.

Did you used to buy the expensive brands too cause I was the same way till I grabbed a $20 bottle that blew my mind
