Used to stain fences with those cheap foam brushes from the dollar store

Took me about 6 hours to do a 6 foot privacy fence that way. Switched to a Wagner sprayer two summers ago after my neighbor let me borrow his. Cut the time down to about 45 minutes. The cleanup is a pain though with the mineral spirits. Anyone else go back and forth on sprayers vs brushes for big fence jobs?

Nah man, I actually kinda like the brush for fences.

Oh man, sprayers all the way for fences. That brush life is just too painful when you've got a whole yard to do. You can't beat the speed even if cleanup is a drag.

Ha yeah I'm with you on that. I once thought I'd be smart and spray my whole back fence in like an hour, ended up spending the next two cleaning paint off my driveway, my neighbor's cat, and somehow my own eyebrow. I looked like I got in a fight with a Rorschach test. Brush takes forever but at least I don't end up looking like a Jackson Pollock painting by the end of it.
