Dropped $60 on a scheduling app and it totally backfired on my Instagram reach

I paid for a fancy scheduler called Later last month thinking it'd boost my post times and save me stress. Instead, my engagement tanked because the app posted everything at once and Instagram flagged it as spammy bot behavior. Wasted $60 and spent 4 hours fixing the mess it made. Has anyone else had a paid tool screw up their algorithm instead of helping?

Man I used to be all about those scheduling apps but after hearing this I'm totally rethinking that. I'll stick with manual posting for now.

Patricia might have a point but I'm with you Andrew, manual posting keeps you in control. Every time I try one of those scheduling tools it works fine for a week then decides to post something at 3 AM on a Tuesday when my audience is asleep. Its like the algorithm just breaks and you end up looking silly. Plus you lose that real time feel, like when something happens and you want to jump on it but you've got posts pre-scheduled from last week. I'd rather just set alarms on my phone and post myself than trust some app to get it right. Not saying its the end of the world but it feels like overcomplicating something that was simple before.

Honestly Andrew, I had the opposite experience. Scheduling apps saved my sanity when I was juggling three different accounts and couldn't be online at 2 AM to post. I just check the analytics once a week and adjust my timing, haven't had a problem with them.
