I called 'post at 6 PM' advice fake until I tested it on my own account

For months I ignored everyone saying timing matters for engagement. Then I ran a 2 week test on my business page in Chicago - posted half my content at 8 AM and half at 6 PM. The 6 PM posts got TWICE the reach on average. Has anyone else found a specific time slot that actually works for their niche?

I've heard a few folks say the 6 PM sweet spot depends on whether your audience is scrolling after work hours. In my experience it's worth testing a week or two before you commit.

Grayc27's right about testing first, I've seen some accounts get way more engagement at 5 PM or even 7 PM depending on their crowd. A quick two-week test can save you from assuming 6 PM works for your specific followers.

It's rough when the advice you ignored turns out to be right.
