Instagram's own analytics showed my posts were only hitting 8% of my followers

I was bragging about my engagement rate until I found a buried stat in the professional dashboard last week showing actual reach per post was barely 8 percent of my follower count. Turns out Instagram counts a quick scroll past your photo as 'impressions' but only gives you reach data if you dig three menus deep. Why do they hide the real number that actually matters for growth?

Ask @bettywood how that's working out for her. Instagram's probably gonna start hiding our posts from our own mom next. Might as well just post to a brick wall, same reach.
