My brother said to post at 9 AM on a Tuesday, but my views tanked.
He's a marketing manager and swore that was the 'universal sweet spot' for engagement. I run a small pottery account and followed his advice for a month straight. My average views dropped from around 500 per post to under 200. I think the time was wrong for my specific audience of other artists and crafters. Has anyone else found that the 'best time to post' advice can be totally wrong for a niche?

Ugh, universal advice is rarely universal.

My friend Sam runs a hiking gear review page. He read that 7 PM on weekdays was prime time, so he posted then for weeks. His engagement fell off a cliff. Turns out his followers, mostly serious backpackers, are actually out on trails at that hour, not online. He switched to posting late morning on Sundays when they're planning their next trip, and his numbers shot back up.

So your brother's universal sweet spot turned into a universal flop spot? Classic. Guess pottery people are too busy throwing clay at 9 AM to check their phones.
