Vent: I found out my video posts were way too long for the algorithm

I was looking at my analytics from last month and saw a stat that shocked me. My videos that were over 90 seconds got about 70% less reach than the shorter ones. I found this out on the platform's own creator dashboard, in the 'audience retention' section. It showed most people clicked away before the first minute was up. Has anyone else had to completely change their video length because of data like this?

Focus on making your content good, not just short. If people are clicking away that fast, maybe the opening needs to hook them better. I've seen long videos do great when the first few seconds are really compelling.

Honestly that study about 60-90 seconds is wild. It feels like you barely get started before you have to wrap it up. The whole game just keeps getting faster.

Wasn't there a big study that said the sweet spot is like 60-90 seconds now? I read some blog where a guy broke down his numbers and found anything under a minute thirty did way better, but you still need time to actually say something. Maybe try cutting one of your longer ideas into two parts?
