Noticed a shift in those 'day in my life' videos from perfect to messy
I had to pick between editing out my morning coffee spill or leaving it in for my latest reel... left it in and the comments jumped 40% with people saying it felt real. Anyone else seeing more engagement with the imperfect stuff?

My last video had a solid minute of me trying to open a jar of pickles. My face got all red, I made a weird grunt, the whole deal. Left it in and got a bunch of comments just saying "same." We're all out here just struggling with basic containers, might as well show it.

That jump in comments after leaving the coffee spill in is the whole story. It's not just about being messy, it's about showing a moment where you failed at the basic task of drinking. People connect with that tiny defeat way more than another perfect pour, because it's a shared experience they never get to see online.

Honestly I always thought messing up would make a video look bad. But you're right, that coffee spill is what makes it feel real and gets people talking. I guess we're all just tired of seeing only the perfect stuff online.
