Binged The Wire in 5 days, should have watched The Sopranos first

I had a week off work last month and had to pick between The Wire and The Sopranos for a deep dive. Went with The Wire because everyone says it's peak TV, and it was good but damn it's slow. Now I'm 3 episodes into The Sopranos and it's way more my speed from the jump. Anyone else make the wrong call on which show to start first?

Honestly, same here - The Wire felt like homework compared to The Sopranos.

Same exact thing happened to me last summer (kept waiting for The Wire to click and it just... didn't). The Sopranos grabs you right away, which is honestly what a good show should do.
