Just realized my old way to check for leaks was costing us hours on a job in Duluth

We were working on a big steam boiler at the old paper mill there, and the foreman showed me his trick with a simple spray bottle of soapy water and a flashlight. Found three tiny pinhole leaks in under ten minutes that we would have missed with just a visual check. Anyone else got a better method for tracking down those small leaks fast?

Totally agree with @maryt62 on ultrasonics, but for steam, soapy water is still king because it shows the leak bubble right where it is.

Ultrasonic leak detectors are a total game changer for that.

My uncle used that trick on his old farm tractor radiator.
