Can we talk about those fancy book club subscription boxes?

I spent $45 on a 'curated' box last month that came with a book I already owned and a bunch of cheap trinkets. It felt like a total scam and I'm still annoyed about it. Has anyone else had a bad experience with these services?

Yeah, the whole "swap if you have it" thing. It's part of this bigger trend where everything feels temporary now. We don't really own stuff, we just sort of borrow it or trade it. It happens with movies, games, even clothes. Makes you wonder if we're just passing the same few things around forever.
