My aunt told me to skip the book club pick last month, and I'm still thinking about it
She said, 'That author's endings always feel rushed, save your time.' I read it anyway (it was 'The Glass Hotel' for our April meet). Finished it in three days and, well, she was totally right. The last fifty pages just fell flat for me, which made our whole group's chat kind of a downer. Has anyone else had a club member give reading advice that you later wished you'd taken?

Remember my sister telling me to avoid a certain biography. Should have listened, it was a real slog.
