Just saw a brand's apology video get ratioed to oblivion for using a sad piano track
I was scrolling through TikTok and found this clip where a company posted a 'heartfelt' apology after a product recall, but they used that super overused emotional piano music. The comments were flooded with people calling it fake and pointing out they just copied the same template from another brand's fail last year. Has anyone else noticed how often brands use the exact same apology playbook and think we won't notice?

Copy the same script every time.

Just watched a press conference. Could have sworn I saw the same one last week. Same lines, same hand gestures. Even the fake laugh was identical. It's like they're working from a very short checklist.

That "fake laugh" you mentioned is so spot on. I saw one last month where they used the exact same "folks, let me be clear" line three times in ten minutes. It's like they have a box of five phrases and just pick from them. Even the way they pause and look down at their notes is identical every single time.
