Saw a local coffee shop's logo change from a hand-drawn mug to a generic clipart cup over 6 months.

Honestly, I walked into Brew Haven in my town last week and didn't even recognize their signs. They went from this cute, messy sketch of a mug with steam to a basic vector cup you'd find in a stock photo pack. I asked the barista and she said the owner's nephew did the original but then they hired a marketing agency for a "rebrand" that cost $2,000. Now the whole place feels like a chain, not the quirky spot it was. Has anyone else seen a small brand lose its charm after a professional overhaul?

Two thousand dollars for that clipart cup? That's crazy, you could have gotten a local artist to do something way cooler for way less!

My local taco truck changed their font last year and suddenly the guac tasted different too.

You're really going to blame the font for ruining the guacamole? That's like saying a bad song on the radio made your coffee taste bitter. A change in font doesn't travel through the air and land in the guac. Maybe they got a different batch of avocados or the guy making it was having an off day.
