The $200 'premium' water bottle that leaked on my laptop

Bought one of those influencer-backed bottles that claimed indestructible seals, and three weeks in it dumped water all over my bag, killing my work laptop. The brand's apology was a copy-paste DM and a 15% off code, not a refund. Anyone else get burned by a hyped product that fell apart fast?

...and thats exactly why I stopped trusting any bottle that comes with a "lifestyle" price tag. But real talk, did the brand even ask you to send the bottle back for testing, or did they just ghost after the coupon? Cause if they didn't want the failed product back, that tells you everything about how much they believe in their own hype. These companies bank on people being too tired to fight a $200 charge, so they offer a tiny discount and hope you go away. Were you able to do a chargeback with your card company, or did they weasel out of that too?

Did your card company end up siding with you on the chargeback? I hate that they make you jump through hoops for something that's clearly their fault. You're right about the coupon thing too, they just want you to shut up and go away. I've been burned the same way before, and it took me three calls and a written letter to finally get my money back. Some of these brands act like they're doing you a favor by selling you a bottle that's supposed to keep your water cold for a day.
