Warning: That viral makeup brand apology was a total copy-paste job
I checked out the apology from GlowFix after their foundation shade fail last week and noticed the wording was almost identical to a brand apology from 2022. They just swapped the product name and called it a day. Am I the only one who saves these to compare later?

Wait, hold on. You're telling me they literally copy and pasted an old apology from 2022? That is just shocking honestly. I mean, I know brands are lazy but to not even bother changing the wording, just swapping the product name, that's a whole new level of disrespect. I almost can't believe they thought nobody would notice or care. People keep receipts for stuff like this, you know? We're not just going to forget when they treat us like we're stupid. That apology was bad enough but seeing it was a straight up rip off makes it so much worse.

Yeah but did they even try to hide it or just hope nobody would scroll back two years?

Yeah, I actually checked after reading this and it's not exactly a straight copy - they did change the date and the product name, but the middle paragraph is word for word the same. @karen_west59 is mostly right though, it's still pretty lazy. The original apology from 2022 was for a different product issue but they kept the same tone and phrasing, just swapped in the new product name. Feels like they spent more time trying to save face than actually fixing whatever went wrong this time.
