That day Chick-fil-A's app crashed during a free chicken sandwich promo was INSANE

Last Tuesday they offered a free sandwich with any purchase and the app totally died by 10:30 AM. People were stuck in drive-thru lines for 45 minutes yelling at cashiers. Has anyone else had a brand promo blow up this bad because they didn't plan for traffic?

Funny you mention that, I had the same thing happen with a different fast food app during a BOGO deal a few months back. Got to the window and they had no record of my order even though the app took the payment. Ended up just showing them the confirmation email and they gave me the food anyway after like 15 minutes of arguing. Now I just screenshot everything before I hit submit, learned that lesson the hard way. More people need to do the same honestly, save yourself the headache.

Used to think these crashes were just people overreacting but that Tuesday was a total mess. Watched my girlfriend sit in the drive thru for almost an hour just to save three bucks on a sandwich. Really changed how I see these promos now, clearly a lot of brands don't know what they're signing up for.
