My hostel breakfast in Prague went from stale bread to a full spread in two days

I checked in on a Monday and the free breakfast was just some old rolls and cheap jam. By Wednesday, they had eggs, fruit, and even decent coffee because a big tour group arrived and complained. Has anyone else seen a place suddenly up its game when better guests show up?

Oh, I feel that. I once stayed somewhere where the "complimentary breakfast" was just a sad basket of wrapped crackers. The morning a bus full of German tourists pulled in, they magically produced a whole buffet with sausages and yogurt. Guess my solo traveler money wasn't good enough for the good stuff!

Maybe they just had the good stuff in back for big groups.
