Heard a coworker say she saves $200 a month just by meal prepping on Sundays
Ngl that got me thinking about my own food spending, so I tried it for three weeks and I'm down to $60 a week from $120. Anyone else have tips for keeping it interesting without buying too many fancy ingredients?

Yeah what helped me was rotating two or three base recipes each week but swapping out the protein and veggies. Keeps it from getting boring without having to buy a whole new set of ingredients every time.

Three weeks in and I'm just eating variations of rice and sadness now.

Oh boy, you’re making me hungry just thinking about that (not in a good way)! I gotta say, though, you might be missing a key trick: canned beans are your best friend here. They’re cheap, they last forever (well, almost), and you can toss them into almost any rice dish for some real texture. Like, black beans with cumin and lime over rice beats plain rice and sadness any day. And if you’re really stuck, try seasoning the rice itself with a bouillon cube or some garlic powder before you cook it. It’s a tiny step that makes a big difference, trust me.
