I bought a cheap coffee maker for $40 and it's saving me so much money

I was buying a $5 latte every morning before work, which added up to over $100 a month. Last month I got a basic coffee maker on sale and a bag of good beans. Now I make my own cup at home for like 50 cents. It tastes just as good and I'm not late anymore because I don't have to stop. Anyone else find a simple swap that cut a daily cost?

What about the time you save not waiting in line?

My grocery pickup order last week took 15 minutes from parking to leaving. That time I used to wait in line now goes toward starting dinner right away. It's a real shift if you plan around it.

That's not really how it works though. The time you save is often spent on other chores or waiting somewhere else. Feels like it just moves the line around.
