Serious question, has anyone else tracked their coffee spending for a month?

I was buying a latte every morning from the shop near my work... it was like $5.50 a day. I added it up after three weeks and it was over $115. So I started making cold brew at home with a cheap jar and some grounds. Now my coffee costs about $8 for the whole week. What other small daily buys have you guys cut that added up fast?

Same with bottled water.

Bottled water feels like a different kind of small spend to me, @jade328. You're buying something you actually need, just in a pricey package. Isn't the real problem the stuff we buy that we don't need at all?

Man, I used to roll my eyes at people who talked about this stuff. I figured a few bucks a day was nothing. Then I checked my bank statement and saw all the little charges for energy drinks and protein bars from the gas station. It was over sixty bucks in a month on just junk I grabbed without thinking. Totally changed my mind on what "small" spending really means.
