Stumbled into a 20% profit margin on a side gig and it blew my mind

I started flipping old furniture from estate sales in Portland about 6 months ago. Last month I sold a mid-century dresser I got for $40 for $320, which works out to a 20% profit margin after supplies and time. It made me rethink how I value my side hustle vs my day job in accounting. Have any of you hit a milestone that made you question your main source of income?

And yeah that article got around, its wild how a simple side thing can change your whole view on money. That 20% margin is decent but the real win is learning what people actually pay for stuff you find cheap. It makes you wonder why we grind 40 hours a week for a paycheck when theres a whole market out there where $40 can turn into $320.

lol I saw this article about some guy making bank flipping old chairs and it totally changed how I look at side gigs.
