Put a drawer front on backwards and didn't catch it until the client pointed it out 2 days later

I was finishing up a built-in in a kitchen over in Maplewood and somehow installed the upper drawer pull side facing the cabinet. Client laughed it off and said it looked like modern art, so I flipped it around for free and bought her a plant as an apology. Has anyone else had a brain fart that obvious mid install?

Oh man, I've done that with a spice rack... turned it into a spice shelf!

Funny how many of us have tried that approach and ended up with a minor renovation project. Heard from a buddy who manages a kitchen showroom that magnetic strips work well for lightweight items, but you gotta check the weight limit first. His advice was to test a few jars before committing to stick them up.

Have you thought about using adhesive magnetic strips on the back of a cabinet door? @nancybailey, that way your spice jars are hidden but still super easy to grab when you're cooking. I did that after my own spice rack disaster and it's been a lifesaver for saving shelf space. Just make sure the jars are metal or add a small metal disc to the bottom.
