Why does nobody talk about the shift from crimp-on connectors to compression fittings?

My crew in Charlotte switched over about 5 years ago after a rash of callbacks, and now I won't touch anything else. Anyone still holding out for the old way, or is compression the clear winner now?

Compression is the way to go, no doubt.

Crimp tools are way faster on big jobs though. Still got my old set and it works fine, never had a leak.

Totally agree on the speed. Once you get the hang of it, you can fly through a whole rack of lines. That reliability is key, too.
