Had a Monday where every camera came in with the exact same shutter issue
I swear last Monday was bizarre. Five different customers brought in Canon AE-1s all with that sticky shutter capping problem at 1/1000. Never seen that many in one day, let alone the same fix. The last one was a beat up model from a guy in Omaha who said he'd driven three hours to find someone who still works on them. Has anyone else had a weird streak like that where it feels like the universe is just messing with you?

That feeling where the universe is just messing with you" is exactly right. It's like the camera gods decided to test your patience all at once. I swear, when that happens, you start checking the calendar for a full moon or something. The Omaha guy driving three hours though, that part is wild. Makes you realize how rare these repair skills are getting, which is both cool and a little scary for the future of film cameras. Hope you got them all sorted without losing your mind.

I used to think the whole "universe is out to get you" thing was just people being dramatic, but after a week where three different cameras broke in as many days, I started to believe it myself. The part about repair skills being rare really hit home for me too, I used to just take things to the local shop without a second thought. Now I realize we're kind of lucky to have folks like that Omaha guy still around, even if it means driving across state lines to keep these old cameras running.

Are we really calling three broken cameras a cosmic conspiracy or just bad luck with gear? @kimr10 you kinda bought into that too but honestly it just sounds like a rough week, not the universe playing games.
