Warning: People keep buying the wrong size propane tank for their camp stoves
I see so many folks at the store grabbing the big 20-pound tanks for a weekend trip, which is a huge pain to pack and way too much fuel. For a two-person trip of three days, a 5-pound tank is more than enough and saves a ton of space in the car. Has anyone else switched to smaller tanks and noticed how much easier it is?

Nah, that 20-pounder is what I always grab lol. I hate running out of fuel halfway through cooking a big meal, and the extra weight doesn't bother me.

I get that fear of running out, it would ruin a good meal for sure.

You ever actually run out with a smaller tank, or is it just the fear of it happening? I switched to a five-pounder years ago and I've never even come close to empty on a normal weekend. What are you cooking that uses so much fuel?
